Queen’s Royal Court:
Participants of the Queen’s Royal Court program are ladies between the ages of 13 and 16 and must be of some Czech, Slovak, Moravian or Silesian heritage. This program bridges the gap between the ‘Little Sister” program and the Queen Pageant. It allows these young ladies to learn more about their heritage and experience the excitement of a queen pageant while in a noncompetitive environment. They have an opportunity to model a kroj, perform their talent and write an original word presentation on “What My Heritage Means to Me”.
This year 6 young ladies will participate in the program: Anastasia Angelo, daughter of Luanne Angelo of Phillips, Annika Angelo, daughter of Luanne Angelo of Phillips, Naomi Angelo, daughter of Don and Joyce Angelo of Phillips, Amanda Kadlecek, daughter of Jodell and Troy Kadlecek, of Phillips, Megan Klaver, daughter of Cathy and Jeff Klaver of Phillips and Christy Nutt, daughter of Patty and Doug Nutt of Phillips.
Anastasia plans to perform an accordion polka solo. Annika will perform a flute solo. Naomi is doing a ukulele solo and will sing titled, “I'll Fly Away.” Amanda will perform a tap dance to the song, "Thrift Shop.” Megan Klaver is performing a base clarinet solo, “Le Tambournin” and Christy Nutt is performing a piano solo titled, “Cannon in D.” The Queen and Queen’s Royal Court performances have a large variety of talent that will be both different and interesting. Each of the young ladies is very talented.
The Little Sister Program is for girls ages 7-12. These girls learn about their heritage from peers, wear folk dresses, and “shadow” candidates and visiting royalty during festival events. The Little Sisters for this year’s pageant are Allie Adomaitis, daughter of Joe and Jamie Adomaitis, Amanda (Mandy) Angelo daughter of Ron and Luanne Angelo, Hannah Angelo, daughter of Don and Joyce Angelo, Delaney Boho, daughter of Wayne and Janie Boho, Crystal Croy, daughter of Patrick Croy, Keileigh Doll, daughter of Ron and Elaine Doll, Chasey and Kylie Edinger, daughters of Katie Edinger, Aleda Hoogland daughter of Bennett and Jolie Hoogland, Sofia Windmoeller, daughter of Linda and Rich Windmoeller and Alena Zorn, daughter of Angela Freeeman all of Phillips, Allison Crabtree, daughter of Amy and Richard Crabtree of Kennan, Maya Hernandez, daughter of Carlos and Andrea Galvan of Wisconsin Rapids,. The little Sisters will also be “shadowing” visiting queens: Morgan McMichen, Miss US Czech Slovak Queen, and Elizabeth Kaliska, MN Czech Slovak Queen.
Vernette Moravek, the Wisconsin Czech-Slovak Queen Director predicts that this will be a great Pageant. We have lots of beautiful young women competing and participating in the pageant; plus, visiting royalty from MN and the US Miss Czech Slovak Queen. We promise lots of good entertainment in their talent competition and beautiful kroje. The Young ladies and Little Sisters have a full weekend schedule with lots of activities to participate in to learn more about their heritage. All of the public is invited. Everyone should enjoy watching the Pageant.
