I am a fourth year veterinary student at the UW-Madison and looking forward to graduating in May 2011 after which I hope to spend a summer
volunteering in India. After that I would love to take my family's 14 racing Alaskan Husky sled dogs and travel with them to Alaska for a winter. I still enjoy art, photography, music, horseback riding, canoeing, and camping. (Aug 2010)

Allison Onchuck was the queen sponsored by the Phillips Czechoslovakian Community Festival in 1998 before we became the official site for the pageant. She represented Northern Wisconsin and was sponsored by the Phillips Czechoslovakian Community Festival. The following messages was received from Allison's mother: Allison is the mother of 3 boys. They live in China and plan to stay there as long as the door is open. Their youngest was born there. Her husband teaches conversational English at one of the universities in their city. They speak enough Chinese to function and are continuing to study the language, Thankfully they are young and bright, but Chinese is a difficult language and is very challenging. Allison's six year old has been attending a Chinese school the past three years and speaks Chinese very well. Her four-year-old is attending a Chinese pre-school and is also learning Chinese very quickly. Their school will go most of the summer. Allison is very happy and loves her life. I have been to China four times and each visit has gotten easier for me. Hopefully, one of these days their stateside visits will coincide with the fest. Take care and God Bless, Sandy
