Her name is Alzbeta.
Since 1986 the girl doll was prominently displayed at the Czech-Slovak festival in her home country dress. Finally after all these years, the doll has received a name given by Sheila Miske’s 6th grade art class. The class had an opportunity to learn about nine girl names from Bernice Polacek and Vernette Moravek that are commonly found in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The class’s choice was Alzbeta (Elisabeth). The other names under consideration are seen below. The doll was originally owned by Brennan’s Department Store. When they went out of business they passed it to Alice Novak whose family kept it until her passing. Alzbetha is wearing a new vest made by Dottie Koerner. Pictured are members of Sheila Miske’s 6th grade class.
