Miss Czech-Slovak WI Pageant Little Sister Program
“Little Sisters” must be between the ages of 7-12 years. They do not have to be of Czech, Slovak, Silesian, Rusyn or Moravian descent. Their “job” is to “shadow” queen candidates and Royal Court members during this ethnic festival and pageant Friday and Saturday.
Kroje, especially for Little Sisters does not need to be elaborate or fancy. In fact, for outdoor events, authentic vintage pieces are probably more stressful for the parent (especially if borrowing a kroj) than if a Kroj consisting of a simple dirndl skirt, fancy white apron, embroidered peasant blouse, and a head wreath of silk flowers/ribbons is worn. Parents are responsible for making an appointment for a fitting of a kroj (folk dress) for their daughter unless they have a kroj of their own. Please contact Linda Windmoeller at 715-339-4245 to set up a fitting time prior to June 9th. If you do not possess your own, there are enough little sister kroje available for use. The little sister shadows are to supply their own white anklets or tights and black shoes.

Parents/guardians are expected to get their children to event venues and monitor their daughters for the entire festival.
