No matter how you spell it, they are always good right out of the oven! Kolacky, in its many forms, is one of those things that is easily identified as being Czech and Slovak! How could we NOT have a festival without eating these amazing cookies/pastries??? Therefore it only makes sense that we have a contest dedicated to kolacy! |
A couple times a year, we sponsor kolache baking workshops in conjunction with the Friends of Fred Smith / Wisconsin Concrete Park in Phillips, Wisconsin. During this workshop, you will learn how to make the traditional kolache that we bake and sell for the Phillips Czech-Slovak Festival as well as a more modern kolache that is a Kadlecek Family Favorite.
